Domestic Violence: Understanding and Responding to Intimate Partner Violence
The #metoo era offers a deeper awareness and understanding of the violence that victims suffer too often in silence. Clergy and law enforcement professionals are welcome to attend this training, provided by the staff of Project Safe, with clinicians and students.

About The Event
Purpose of this training is to increase understanding of intimate partner violence and provide tools to assist victims and family members of domestic violence. Special attention is given to prioritizing safety for clients and clinicians. History of the past, present and future of domestic violence; types of abuse and domestic violence and lethality factors will be addressed. Skills to identify intimate partner violence and assessing for safety; and ways to help victims become survivors are part of the training.
Participants will receive six core CEUs for attending this training. Staff of Project Safe, Athens GA are the trainers.
